Hurricane Golf & Country Club - Mechanic

We are looking for a Golf Course Mechanic to join our team at the beautiful Hurricane Golf & Country Club! Under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent, the Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing the machinery used by the course department, including gasoline and diesel powered golf maintenance equipment.

The Mechanic also assists in maintaining a clean and safe service area, maintenance building, and overall work environment.

Ensure equipment is inspected, fueled, oiled, lubricated, and safely operable.

Perform routine maintenance according to the manufacturer’s service schedule. Adjust mowers according to the superintendent’s direction and standards. Complete and maintain detailed records of daily repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow procedures for waste disposal within established OSHA and state guidelines.

Assist with snow removal and winter maintenance activities when necessary, according to local and state regulations. Assist with repairs to the golf course and machinery following storm events. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Skills and Qualifications Knowledge of the general operation and servicing methods of gasoline, diesel, and electric powered equipment.

Ability to operate tools, machinery, and equipment. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50+ lbs.) Minimum 1 year training and/or experience in mechanics, small engine repair, or a related field required. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred. Valid Driver’s License required. All applicants must pass a criminal background check and drug screening, and must have a valid driver’s license.
