Position Overview

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting, optimizing, and enhancing the business systems that power Brite. Cap's lending operations, with Hub. Spot serving as a core platform. This role acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure systems, workflows, integrations, and business processes effectively support operational objectives.

The Business Systems Analyst works closely across the organization to gather requirements, document business needs, troubleshoot system issues, and identify opportunities for process improvement. This role plays a key part in ensuring business systems remain reliable, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Technical Requirements Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for system enhancements, automation initiatives, and operational improvements. Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria. Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and appropriately implemented.

Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), validation activities, and deployment readiness efforts. Systems Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution Investigate system issues, reporting discrepancies, workflow errors, and integration challenges. Analyze system behavior and documentation to identify root causes and potential solutions.

Work with technical teams to resolve business system issues in a timely manner. Document findings and support ongoing monitoring of recurring issues. Systems Administration & Support Support the administration and maintenance of Hub. Spot and related business systems. Configure and maintain users, permissions, properties, workflows, forms, lists, and reporting structures.

Assist with system configuration updates and enhancements that support business operations. Collaborate with Engineering and third-party vendors on integrations and system improvements. Process Analysis & Workflow Optimization Facilitate discussions with business teams to understand current processes and identify improvement opportunities.

Document current-state and future-state workflows, business rules, and process requirements. Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce manual work, and improve data quality. Evaluate the impact of proposed changes across business functions and systems. Stakeholder Collaboration Serve as a point of contact for business users regarding system functionality and capabilities.

Communicate business requirements and technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Support project planning, implementation efforts, and change management activities. Assist with end-user training and adoption of new system functionality and processes. Documentation & Continuous Improvement Maintain system documentation including requirements, process maps, workflows, configuration details, and user guides.

Contribute to the development of best practices for business systems management and process documentation. Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiencies across business functions. Support reporting and analytics initiatives that drive informed business decision-making.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Systems Administrator, or similar role. Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and supporting technology initiatives.

Experience working with CRM platforms, workflow automation tools, and business applications. Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and technical teams. Comfort reading technical and API documentation and understanding how systems pass data to each other. Skills/Attributes: Experience administering or supporting Hub.

Spot or similar CRM platforms. Strong business analysis, problem-solving, and process improvement skills. Understanding of workflow automation, system integrations, and data management principles. Familiarity with integration and concepts like APIs, webhooks, and data mapping. Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into system requirements.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation quality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Jira, Confluence, Miro. Experience in financial services, fintech, lending, or related industries is a plus. Familiarity with AI-powered productivity and business analysis tools is preferred.
