Veterinary Assistant Experienced

VCA Charles Towne Animal Hospital is hiring a full time Veterinary Assistant who has surgical experience to join our general practice team .

About Us

Our AAHA-accredited primary care facility provides illness care, surgery, dentistry, and more. We see canine and feline species patients! Our hours are typically Monday through Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 8am-3pm, closed on Sundays. Schedule : Full time, Saturday rotation required About the Role As a Veterinary Assistant, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include: Compassionate patient care Client education and care Venipuncture and catheter placement Radiology and diagnostics Lab sample collection and processing Surgical preparation and assisting Anesthesia monitoring Dentistry Medication preparation and administration Safe and effective patient handling and restraint Medical recordkeeping Qualified candidates will have at least one year of experience as a veterinary assistant performing these technical duties, or similar level of experience as a veterinary technology student.
