Maintenance Helper

  • Dallas, TX Maintenance Helper assists skilled maintenance staff in performing routine inspections, repairs, and upkeep of facilities and equipment to ensure smooth and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks and minor repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical equipment Assist with installations of new equipment, fixtures, and machinery Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues and report them to the Maintenance Supervisor Handle tools and equipment safely and follow all safety protocols Support the maintenance team in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and recommending solutions Candidate must be able to work overtime, weekends, rotating shifts be able to fill the different operator positions throughout the plant after a training period.

Required Skills

and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in maintenance or technical skills is a plus Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems Familiarity with hand and power tools and ability to use them safely Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc), lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
