Position Title: Motor Mechanic Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Employer: Tyrepower Noosaville Location: Noosaville, QLD 4566 Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per annum (dependent on experience) About the Company Tyrepower Noosaville is a well-established automotive workshop on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, part of the national Tyrepower network.

We provide mechanical servicing and repairs to the local community, and pride ourselves on quality workmanship and looking after our customers and our team.

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our busy workshop. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will carry out servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs across a wide range of light vehicles, working with modern diagnostic equipment in a supportive, well-equipped team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform under-chassis, steering and suspension repairs, including shock absorbers, ball joints, tie rod ends and rack ends
  • Perform repairs and maintenance of brake systems
  • Carry out regular vehicle servicing, including logbook maintenance
  • Perform basic diagnostics for dashboard warning lights
  • Repair starting and ignition systems
  • Conduct road tests and diagnostics on drive systems, including wheel bearings and final drive systems
  • Troubleshoot and carry out basic repairs of vehicle electrical systems
  • Perform routine maintenance on timing belt systems
  • Use hand tools and workshop equipment safely and correctly Skills
  • Confident use of diagnostic scan tools such as Autel, Snap-on and G-scan
  • Ability to diagnose and interpret dashboard warning lights and fault codes
  • Competent in steering, suspension and brake system repair
  • Safe operation of scissor and two-post hoists and trolley jacks
  • Accurate use of torque wrenches and a full range of hand tools
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to fault finding Experience
  • At least 1 year of demonstrated experience working as a motor mechanic in an automotive workshop
  • Experience servicing and repairing a range of light vehicles
  • Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment
  • A track record of completing work to a high standard and within time Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or an equivalent or higher qualification) desired Important Eligibility Requirement To be considered for this role, applicants must have full-time, unrestricted working rights in Australia for the duration of the employment period.
