Civil Designer

Description Mack Industries is looking for a Civil Designer in Mount Vernon to assist in the technical efforts necessary to support our sales, production, and product development departments. The main focus of this position will be to develop detailed shop drawings of precast concrete products and preparing bid submittal packages for customers.

Paid Weekly Essential Functions: Prepare project shop drawings to present to the customer for approval Completes submittals for customer approval Engages directly with customers to ensure specifications and lead time are met Works alongside sales and production teams contributing to efforts where needed Maintains project flow, following targets as established by the Engineering Manager Communicates effectively with General Contractors, Field Personnel, Architects, Engineers and other departments to facilitate project outcomes and competition Utilizes Stack IT, AutoCAD, and 3-D software to create detailed shop drawings for fabrication Utilizes ERP Software to import orders, enter order lines.

Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related experience preferred Knowledge in precast manufacturing and construction processes a plus Construction experience a plus Proficient in AutoCAD Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc) Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong mathematics and science abilities a plus Behavioral Traits: Willingness to work collaboratively within a team Customer focused, attentive and responsive.

Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative Shows good judgement in difficult situations Organized with attention to detail Shows accountability for efforts and results Environment Conditions and Physical Strain: Due to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust and dirt can be high. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
