Job Summary

The Caltech Protein Expression Center in the Beckman Institute is seeking an assistant to operate a labware washing system and prepare laboratory equipment for reuse. This position offers up to 10 hours per week with a flexible schedule. The successful candidate must be reliable to ensure labware is processed regularly and does not accumulate.

Essential Job Duties Wash laboratory labware. Sort, organize, and return clean labware to designated storage cabinets. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area. Perform routine equipment checks and report any issues. Shut down and secure the washing station at the end of each shift.

Basic Qualifications

Completed coursework in biology or a related field. Some laboratory experience. Ability to follow instructions carefully. Ability to work independently and reliably.
