Automotive Service Advisor

Location: Berman Nissan of Chicago (60618) Job Title: Service Advisor Schedule: Full Time Compensation: $125,000+ annually (commission position) Why Join Us? Competitive PTO policy Multiple low-cost medical insurance options + free telehealth Affordable dental, vision, and life insurance Short-term and long-term disability coverage Fully paid training 401(k) retirement savings plan Employee discounts on service and vehicle purchases Clear opportunities for career advancement What You’ll Do Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival Gather customer and vehicle information Listen to customer concerns and accurately document service needs Recommend maintenance based on vehicle age, mileage, and history Prepare accurate estimates for labor and parts Keep customers updated on repair status and timelines Clearly explain completed work and associated costs Coordinate service appointments and ensure timely completion Work closely with technicians, parts staff, and team members to ensure a smooth workflow 1+ year of Service Advisor experience Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and earn customer trust Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately document service needs and recommendations Proficient in computer systems and automotive service software Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Working knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures is a plus Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (minimum 2 years) Must be willing to submit to a background screening If you’re customer-focused, detail-oriented, and ready to grow your career in the automotive industry, we’d love to hear from you.
