Fork Lift Operator

FORK LIFT OPERATOR General Purpose: Safely operate a forklift to move and build pallets in preparation for product shipment Essential Functions: Review daily schedule and report to work area Preform forklift pre-inspections and report operational problems to the Team Leader Operate forklift in compliance with proper operating instructions and safety procedures Refuel forklift at end of shift and/or as needed Troubleshoot minor forklift operation issues and make adjustments Locate and retrieve products to build pallets manually and/or with forklift in preparation for shipping Move pallets with forklift to staging area May use electric or manual pallet jack to move products Gather and assemble specific customer orders Manually lift boxes ranging in weight from 1 lb.

to 80 lbs. to build approximately 28 pallets per day Use shrink wrapping machine to prepare pallets for shipping Palletize boxes maintaining a pace commensurate with daily schedule Utilize scanner to locate inventory and maintain inventory tracking Place proper labels on pallets and boxes according to company procedure Perform work in a fast paced environment, maintain production and quality requirements Maintain proper housekeeping of area and equipment Perform all other duties as assigned Education/Experience/ License/Certification: Forklift Certification Pallet jack certification U.
