As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers. 2nd and 3rd shift do receive a shift premium of $1.00. We offer a $50 attendance bonus for every two weeks in which you miss no time, not including our shutdown periods. This bonus would provide an extra $0.62 to your hourly rate.

Job Summary

Take additional yarn to looms as needed by more fill calls from Weaveroom. Tools and Equipment used: Buggy, yarn, more fill tickets, pen Essential Functions: Perform the following duties according to IS0 9001 work instructions and standards: View computer monitor for more fill calls for assistance. Prioritize them when taking them out to the Weaveroom.

Check to ensure correct lbs. are taken out. Make sure proper transactions are done in SAP as per ISO Work Instructions. Record more filling call/ticket filler in the computer. Keep the computer work area clean and floor swept. Perform other duties when needed or assigned by Supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned.

Work scheduled overtime. Safety: Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers. Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately. Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards. Ear protection required in Weave Room at all times and safety belt/harness required when using motorized equipment.

Maintain 5 S standards as described. Perform other duties when needed or assigned by Supervisor. This includes all 5S assignments.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others. Basic reading, writing, and math skills Must be able to discern colors and pass a color blindness test. Must be able to meet the essential function of the job, lifting, pushing pulling, bending, etc. Must have a license to operate PIT equipment.
