Conveyor Belt Sorting Supervisor (Preferred Bilingual: English/Spanish) Location: N Portland, OR Pay: $22.00/hour, Paid Weekly Schedule: Monday to Friday Type: Full-Time About the Opportunity Hire. Quest is seeking a dependable, bilingual preferred(English/Spanish) Conveyor Belt Sorting Supervisor for a materials processing location in North Portland.

In this role, you will lead a team of sorters along a conveyor line, keeping production on track, the crew safe, and materials properly separated and processed. This position is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, leadership skills, and a safety-first mindset who is comfortable working on their feet and communicating with team members.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a crew of conveyor line sorters
• Communicate instructions, safety procedures, and expectations
• Train new team members on sorting standards, procedures, and safety rules
• Monitor the line to ensure incorrect or non-conforming items are identified and removed
• Assign workers to stations and rotate positions as needed
• Track attendance and report call-outs, issues, and production concerns to management
• Enforce company safety rules and ensure all team members wear required PPE
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Step in and sort on the line when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by management Requirements
• Fluent in English and Spanish (speaking preferred; reading/writing a plus)
• Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred (industrial, warehouse, recycling, or manufacturing a plus)
• Ability to stand for entire shift and perform repetitive motion
• Ability to lift materials as needed (weight varies by site)
• Must be punctual and reliable, with consistent attendance required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a diverse team
• Must be able to follow and give verbal instructions and safety procedures Working Conditions
• Fast-paced industrial environment around conveyor systems
• Exposure to noise, dust, and varying indoor temperatures
• May require bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout the shift
• PPE required (may include gloves, boots, mask, safety vest, etc.)
