Key Responsibilities

Interpret spoken language into sign language (and vice versa) during meetings, events, or discussions. Provide accurate, real-time translation while maintaining confidentiality. Adapt to various communication styles and contexts, ensuring that the message is conveyed clearly and respectfully. Ensure that both parties (deaf and hearing) have equal access to information.

Requirements

Certification in Sign Language Interpretation (preferably from a recognized institution or body). Proven experience as a sign language interpreter, preferably in professional or event settings. Strong fluency in Indian Sign Language (ISL) or other relevant regional sign languages. Good understanding of cultural and contextual nuances related to deaf communities.
