Senior Sales Manager (Major Appliances)

Chefman is one of North America's leading brands of small kitchen appliances, committed to building best-in-class products that make cooking accessible and enjoyable. In 2020, we launched CHEF iQ, an ecosystem of connected smart kitchen appliances designed to transform how the world cooks and connects through food.

We have active business relationships with all major retailers in the small domestic appliance space. Since 2023, we have nearly doubled in size and are now expanding into the major appliance category.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Sales Manager to help launch Chefman in the major appliance market. This person brings deep experience selling major appliances and strong relationships with the retailers and dealers who sell them.

You will work directly with our CEO and Senior Vice President of Global Sales to shape the go-to-market plan, open new accounts, and build the business from the ground up. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build something new, not just manage an existing book of business.

Responsibilities

Launch and Growth

• Help build the go-to-market plan for Chefman's entry into major appliances, including target channels, accounts, and pricing.
• Open new accounts and win product placement with national retailers such as The Home Depot, Lowe's, Best Buy, and Costco.
• Develop relationships with independent appliance dealers and buying groups such as BrandSource and Nationwide Marketing Group.
• Bring market knowledge on competitors, pricing, promotions, and category trends to guide product and sales decisions.

Account Management

• Own sales, margin, and market share targets for assigned accounts.
• Lead line reviews and sales presentations with retail buyers and merchants.
• Plan promotions, pricing, and seasonal programs with each account.
• Build sales forecasts and track performance against plan.

Cross-Functional Work

• Work with product, marketing, and supply chain teams to make sure products launch on time and are supported in store and online.
• Share retailer and dealer feedback with the product team to shape future products.
• Partner with operations on delivery, installation, and service requirements unique to major appliances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of sales experience in major appliances, either with a manufacturer (such as Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE Appliances, or Electrolux) or a major appliance retailer.
• Proven success managing national retail accounts such as The Home Depot, Lowe's, Best Buy, or Costco.
• Strong existing relationships with retail buyers, merchants, or independent dealer networks.
• Experience launching a new brand or product category is a strong plus.
• Comfortable owning sales targets, forecasts, and account profitability.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills, including senior retail decision-makers.
• Self-starter who is comfortable building processes in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company.
• Willingness to travel to retailer headquarters, trade shows, and dealer events as needed.

The base salary range for this role is provided below.

Compensation

is determined based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity, in accordance with New Jersey pay transparency requirements.

$140,000—$175,000 USD
