This role is essential to providing direct patient care within the surgical suite, ensuring safety, efficiency, and clinical excellence in a premier, physician-owned environment.

Key Responsibilities

Surgical Advocacy: Perform the circulating nurse role—verifying patient identity and confirming the correct surgical intervention according to strict policies and safety protocols. Clinical Preparation: Assemble and verify the functionality of all equipment, supplies, and instruments prior to the start of each procedure.

Patient Safety: Assist with safe, proper patient positioning and prepare the operative site following established clinical protocols. Aseptic Integrity: Monitor and ensure strict compliance with the principles of aseptic technique throughout the perioperative period. Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed patient care records and clinical forms to ensure a complete clinical history.

Collaboration: Participate as a proactive team member to support optimal patient outcomes and exceptional patient experiences. Resource Management: Practice cost-containment by utilizing resources efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of care. Compliance: Uphold patient privacy (HIPAA) and ensure all processes maintain strict compliance with healthcare regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio. Certification: Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications. Core Competencies: Strong critical thinking, active problem-solving skills, and the ability to delegate appropriately within the surgical team. Professionalism: Proven ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.
