Recreation Specialist

NEW increased starting wage Pay: $23.07–$25.64 (Depending on Education & Related Experience) Sign-on Bonus for Eligible OMH Community Residence Positions Full time positions are now eligible for a $1,000 or $2,000 sign-on bonus, $250/$500 every 3 months for one year. Part time positions are now eligible for a $500 or $1,000 sign-on bonus, $125/$250 every 3 months for one year. New hires, rehires, and transfers are eligible for this sign-on bonus. ( ELIGIBLE POSITIONS : All located at Conable House CR (Bath, NY) and Lake Breeze CR (Canandaigua, NY), including but not limited to titles such as Counselor, Overnight Counselor, Recreation Specialist, Residence Manager, and Senior Counselor) Sign-on Bonus Amount Eligible Positions/Locations $2,000 Full time, Lake Breeze (ALL Positions) $1,000 Full time, Conable House (ALL Positions) $1,000 Part time, Lake Breeze (ALL Positions) $500 Part time, Conable House (ALL Positions) Nature of Work: This position is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the program youth’s recreational programs. Learn more about Conable House Community Residence Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a human services related field is required. An individual with Therapeutic Recreation and National Council Therapeutic Recreation Certification eligibility is preferred. Requires a valid drivers’ license that meets insurability guidelines to operate agency-owned vehicles. Must meet the requirements of the School Age Care, Day Care, and/or Mental Health Regulations regarding a State Central Register Clearance regarding history of abuse/maltreatment of children and Criminal History Review for criminal convictions.
