Backend Engineer (Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript)

Role Overview We are seeking a Backend Developer experienced in Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript to build and maintain the core infrastructure powering Pilot. Finance. You will design scalable, secure, and compliant systems that support cross-border payments, treasury management, and settlement operations across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop robust backend services using Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript Build APIs and microservices for cross-border payments, FX processing, and settlement systems Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of backend systems Implement secure transaction processing and financial data handling Integrate with third-party financial institutions, payment gateways, and banking APIs Develop and manage multi-currency ledger systems Ensure compliance with financial regulations (KYC, AML, audit trails) Optimize database performance and manage large-scale transactional data Collaborate with frontend teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Requirements 5+ years experience in backend development Strong proficiency in Node.

js and NestJS Solid experience with TypeScript Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture Strong knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL) Experience with asynchronous programming and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) Understanding of authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth) Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Strong understanding of system security and data protection Benefits A competitive salary and benefits package.
