Brief Description: Job Description – Production Analyst / Production Supervisor Position: Production Analyst / Production Supervisor Department: Manufacturing / Production Reporting To: Production Manager Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Production Analyst / Production Supervisor to manage end-to-end production line operations while ensuring achievement of production targets, quality standards, and continuous improvement objectives.
The role is responsible for Plan vs. Actual commitment tracking, manpower utilization, production planning, line management, quality control, operational excellence, and driving Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity, OEE, cost, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Plan vs. Actual Management Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production plans against actual output and ensure on-time delivery commitments. Analyse production variances and implement corrective actions to achieve production targets. Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
Prepare and present Daily Production Reports (DPR), KPI dashboards, and performance reviews. End-to-End Production Line Management Manage complete manufacturing operations across assigned production lines. Ensure smooth execution of production activities while maintaining safety, quality, cost, and delivery (SQCD) objectives.
Drive line balancing, workflow optimization, and bottleneck elimination to maximize throughput. Supervise shop floor activities and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures. Manpower Management & Utilization Plan and optimize manpower deployment based on production requirements. Monitor productivity and implement actions for manpower efficiency improvement.
Lead, coach, and develop operators, technicians, and production associates. Conduct skill matrix reviews, training programs, and performance monitoring. Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, OEE improvement, and productivity enhancement initiatives. Lead cost reduction, waste elimination, cycle time reduction, and process optimization projects.
Facilitate structured problem-solving using Root Cause Analysis, 7QC Tools, and 4M Analysis. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Quality Management Ensure adherence to product quality standards and customer requirements. Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities for production and quality concerns.
Conduct quality reviews, defect analysis, and scrap reduction initiatives. Work closely with Quality teams to improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and reduce rework and rejection. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with EHS, safety policies, and regulatory requirements. Drive zero-accident culture through proactive safety initiatives and risk assessments.
Conduct regular safety audits and ensure adherence to safe work practices. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Track and report key manufacturing KPIs including: Production Output Plan vs. Actual Achievement OEE Productivity Scrap & Rework Quality Performance Manpower Efficiency Delivery Performance Provide data-driven insights and improvement recommendations to management.

E./B. Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline. 2 to 4 years of experience in manufacturing, production operations, or production engineering. Experience in Automotive, Electrical, HVAC, Industrial Equipment, Manufacturing, Process industries, or Heavy Engineering industries preferred.
