• Jupiter, FL, Salary Range: Undisclosed, a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } American Engineering is seeaking a Laborer/Tailman who assists the crew with daily construction and roadway operations by performing general labor duties, supporting equipment operators, directing traffic when required, and maintaining a safe and productive worksite. This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing physically demanding tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist crew members with construction, grading, utility, paving, or roadway maintenance activities. Perform general labor tasks such as shoveling, raking, lifting, loading, and unloading materials. Act as a tailman/groundman by guiding trucks and equipment during backing and maneuvering operations. Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices and work zone signage.

Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Assist with job site preparation, cleanup, and material handling. Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and crew members. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous construction or roadway work experience preferred but not required. Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to safety and teamwork. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Valid driver's license preferred.

Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Ability to work on uneven terrain and around heavy equipment. Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
