Job description

As a Client Manager – Life Sciences, you will play a key role in growing NSF’s consulting business across North America. This opportunity is designed for a commercially minded professional who enjoys understanding complex client challenges, developing solutions, building executive relationships, and turning those relationships into sustainable business growth.

Rather than taking a transactional approach to sales, you will operate as a trusted commercial partner to pharmaceutical manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, healthcare organizations, and other Life Sciences clients. You will lead strategic conversations, uncover business needs, connect clients with NSF expertise, and develop consulting solutions that deliver meaningful value.

You will own opportunities from initial discovery through proposal development, negotiation, close, and account expansion while partnering closely with NSF consultants and subject-matter experts. Develop and execute strategic commercial plans to grow revenue and expand NSF’s presence within targeted Life Sciences accounts and markets.

Identify, develop, and convert new consulting and professional-services opportunities across pharmaceutical, healthcare, and related Life Sciences organizations. Serve as a strategic point of contact for key accounts, developing strong relationships with executive leaders, decision-makers, and other influential stakeholders.

Lead consultative discovery conversations to understand client challenges, business objectives, regulatory pressures, operational needs, and future priorities. Translate client needs into compelling NSF solutions by partnering with consultants, technical experts, and internal stakeholders to develop tailored approaches.

Build compelling business cases, proposals, presentations, and value propositions that demonstrate the commercial and strategic impact of NSF’s capabilities. Own the commercial sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through solution development, proposal, negotiation, and close. Proactively identify whitespace, cross-selling, and account-expansion opportunities within existing strategic relationships.

Maintain a strong focus on new business development while building long-term client relationships that drive repeat and sustainable revenue. Negotiate complex agreements and commercial terms to create mutually beneficial client partnerships. Maintain a disciplined, forward-looking pipeline and provide meaningful revenue forecasts, opportunity assessments, and market insights.

Monitor Life Sciences market trends, competitive activity, and evolving client needs to identify new areas of opportunity for NSF. Collaborate across NSF’s consulting, commercial, marketing, and technical teams to bring the right expertise to each client opportunity. #LI-CB1 Bachelor’s degree, ideally with a business, commercial, scientific, or related focus.

Demonstrated experience in consultative, solution-based, or professional-services sales. Experience working within or selling into the pharmaceutical or broader Life Sciences industry. Experience developing and managing large, complex commercial opportunities, including projects valued at $1M+. Demonstrated ability to engage and influence executive-level stakeholders.

Experience coordinating internal resources and subject-matter expertise around strategic customer opportunities. Strong understanding of complex B2B sales environments involving multiple stakeholders and longer decision cycles. Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce to manage opportunities, pipeline activity, and forecasting.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the consulting or professional services supporting it. Professional experience in Life Sciences consulting, B2B solution sales, professional services, or strategic business development. Established network of decision-makers and industry contacts within the Life Sciences sector.

Experience building new client relationships and expanding existing strategic accounts. Demonstrated ability to translate technical or regulatory expertise into a clear commercial value proposition. Experience partnering with consulting or technical teams to develop customized client solutions. Salary Range: $72,000 - $118,000 base + a sales incentive plan The total pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
