The newly expanded Derby City Gaming & Hotel was voted one of the “Best Places to Work in Greater Louisville” by Louisville Business First JOB SUMMARY The IT Technician is responsible for providing support to Derby City Gaming for operating system requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sets up new hardware such as personal computers, printers, servers, phones, etc. Installs and troubleshoots company approved software and web applications Assists with programming copiers for scanning and emailing documents Provides quality customer service to our users through problem resolution and process demonstration.
Educates users to reduce recurring issues by offering solutions to problems in a proactive way. Provides onsite support for the gaming facility, including weekend and night-shift work. Administers server-based systems across all departments. Creates and maintains technical documentation.
REQUIRED SKILLS
AND ABILITIES Oral and written communication skills. Excellent internal and external guest service. Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the IT department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Two to three years of experience as an IT Technician Degree in related field or equivalent combination of work experience and education is preferred Valid Racing License PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
