Accounts Payable Specialist

We have a job opening and exciting opportunity for a full-time on-site Accounts Payable Specialist in our Tiffin, OH location.

The primary role of an Accounts Payable Specialist is to handle the financial processing of transactions to ensure vendors are paid for services and products rendered.

Essential Functions

Assist the AP Manager with daily EFT payment processing. Prepare invoices for payment. Prepare reports and documentation required by the Finance Team. Maintain supplier payment records and ensure all supplier requirements are completed accurately and timely. Enter various types of vendor credits provided by Vendor Relations on a weekly basis.

Review credits received by mail to determine eligibility, and accurately record all applicable credits in the system. Provide backup support for Pro. Key by entering supplier invoices received via mail and email. Scan and process documents in Pro. Key. Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail daily. Prepare checks for mailing by folding, processing through the postage meter, and ensuring they are ready for daily mail pickup.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

What You will Need

High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 1-year experience in Accounts Payable or related field. Positive attitude with good organizational skills and attention to detail are required. Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet. Work cooperatively with a number of departments throughout all locations.

Must have excellent communication skills, able to multi task and be forward thinking. Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screening.
