ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Event Operations team is responsible for transporting, setting up, and tearing down the equipment owned by US Ski and Snowboard at various events around the United States You will cooperate and work closely with US Ski and Snowboard staff, FIS officials, television production teams, and resort operation crews to produce the event Reports to Event Operations Manager and Event Operations Crew Chief to produce US Ski and Snowboard events across all disciplines Loading event equipment into trucks at US Ski and Snowboard storage in Park City before the event and unloading the equipment back into storage at event’s end.
Assists in placement of all signage and branding at an event, with understanding that locations may change and branding may need to be moved. Responsible for presenting and preserving a positive image of US Ski and Snowboard at all times, when on site, at lodging, and during travel (especially when wearing US Ski and Snowboard branded outerwear) Show up on time for work each day with the tools required to do your job including appropriate clothing for the day’s weather, snips, mallet, drill with extra (charged) battery and drill bit, multi-tool or knife etc.

Winter Weather Working Conditions: Winter weather can be variable and can change drastically day to day, hour to hour. Employees can expect to work extended hours in all weather conditions in order to meet requirements for each event i.
e. training, qualifying runs, and the final competition. US Ski and Snowboard provides employees with the clothing and gear they need to stay safe in all weather conditions and to do their job effectively, however it is up to the employee to bring the gear they need for the day on the hill with them. Required Gear ● Functioning ski or snowboard equipment (not provided) Notes on Safety ● Ski or Ride safely around the mountain at all times, making sure to comply with Mountain slow zones.
When wearing US Ski and Snowboard branded gear, the public eye naturally gravitates toward you so be cognizant of that at all times. ● When in the venue, ski or ride slowly AT ALL TIMES making sure to keep your head on a swivel and maintaining situational awareness
- Danger comes from above! ● When working around Snowcats, give them a wide berth, and make visual eye contact with the operator if you need to move around them. ● If a snowcat is hooked up to a winch cable, stay completely clear of the area. Do not go near the cable! ● Staying hydrated when working at altitude is more difficult than at lower altitudes, yet it is more important than ever. Staying hydrated will keep you warm in cold temps and keep you energized during long days. COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE Experience and familiarity with US Ski and Snowboard and FIS competitions and rules Ability to ski at an expert level, ability to ski without poles, and ski while carrying 50+ lbs. Applicant will need to provide their own boots and skis . Ability to travel for extended periods of time Attention to detail in all aspects of the job Ability to work well as part of a team to troubleshoot problems Must be able to lift heavy equipment while wearing ski boots Will be driving 26’ box truck as part of your role. Experience or willingness to learn is required.
