Job Description Your Responsibilities In this role, you will serve as the key customer contact for our branch, providing order support and product information for our customers. If you are a resourceful team player, with a positive, professional attitude, then we want you to join our team working closely with Outside Sales Reps, Production Personnel, Insides Sales, Credit and Delivery to support the order fulfillment process.
Key Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and professionally, addressing inquiries about products, services, and part availability. Expertly locate correct part numbers using company catalogs, manuals, and vendor resources for both known and unknown parts. Assist walk-in and phone customers in troubleshooting their equipment needs and acquiring the proper equipment to get the job done.
Actively participate in physical inventories and regular cycle counts. Execute the purchase and resale of items via the company purchase order (PO) system. Coordinate with vendors regarding receipts, packing slips, and order adjust Back up for: Act as a reliable backup for the primary parts shipping and receiving clerk as needed Inspect, identify, and measure deliveries against packing slips and purchase orders, then store them in a prompt, organized manner.
Efficiently identify, pick, count, package, and ship parts to customers and other company warehouse locations. Qual ifications & Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills for face-to-face and phone interactions. Basic computer literacy with experience navigating operating systems (e.g., ERP, inventory management software).
High attention to detail for counting, inspecting, and managing physical stock. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and lift/move heavy parts as required. Preferred: Previous experience in a parts department, warehousing, or mechanical/industrial sales. Ability to maintain a positive rapport with customers, providing world class service.
Exemplary customer service skills, analytics and problem- solving skills. Proficient computer skills to process and review dealer orders, requests and system generated acknowledgements. Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned. Ability to read and understand manuals to help customers with finding parts. Your Qualifications Minimum of 18 years of age.
If operating a vehicle for company purposes, a valid driver's license is required. 1- 2 years of experience in a customer service role. Ability to perform basic math calculations. Personable, enthusiastic and engaging personality. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Travel Requirements Type of Travel Required: Local Amount of Travel Required: <10% Physical Requirements This role requires prolonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
Role also requires good hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity, and physical strength. The position involves lifting up to 50 pounds, depending on the specific job duties.
