About the Role

The Residential Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of residential care facilities to ensure high-quality services and a safe, supportive environment for all residents. This role involves strategic planning, staff supervision, and compliance with regulatory standards to meet organizational goals and resident needs.

The manager will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, promote resident well-being, and address any concerns promptly. Additionally, the position requires managing budgets, resources, and reporting to senior leadership to maintain operational efficiency. Ultimately, the Residential Services Manager plays a critical role in enhancing the quality of life for residents while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential services management or a similar supervisory role. Strong knowledge of residential care regulations, compliance standards, and best practices. Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline. Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs. Certification in Residential Care Management or related professional credentials. Familiarity with budgeting software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Crisis intervention and conflict resolution training.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support residential care staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing residential services and health and safety standards. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families.

Manage facility budgets, resources, and procurement to optimize operational efficiency and service delivery. Monitor resident satisfaction and address concerns or incidents promptly to maintain a safe and supportive environment. Coordinate with external agencies, healthcare providers, and community resources to enhance service offerings.

Prepare and present regular reports on facility operations, resident outcomes, and staff performance to senior management. Skills: The Residential Services Manager utilizes leadership and organizational skills daily to coordinate staff activities and ensure smooth facility operations. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with residents, families, and external partners, fostering trust and collaboration.

Analytical skills are applied to monitor compliance, evaluate service quality, and manage budgets effectively. Problem-solving abilities are critical when addressing resident concerns, staff challenges, or regulatory issues promptly and efficiently. Additionally, proficiency in technology, such as EHR systems and management software, supports accurate documentation and data-driven decision-making.
