Rebar Worker

Description INTECH Process Automation is looking for an experienced Rebar Worker to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team . The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, bending, assembling, and fixing steel reinforcement for foundations, equipment bases, supports, and other civil structures. Ensure reinforcement is installed in accordance with approved drawings, bar schedules, specified spacing, cover, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Cut, bend, place, and fix reinforcing steel bars according to approved drawings and bar bending schedules. Prepare reinforcement cages and assemblies for foundations, equipment bases, plinths, trenches, and supports. Verify bar sizes, quantities, spacing, lap lengths, bends, and positioning against approved drawings. Maintain specified concrete cover using approved spacers, chairs, and supports.

Tie reinforcement securely using approved binding wire and appropriate tools. Install reinforcement while maintaining required alignment, dimensions, levels, and clearances. Support installation of reinforcement around embedded items, anchor bolts, sleeves, and openings. Check reinforcement condition and report damaged, corroded, incorrectly sized, or nonconforming bars.

Assist with reinforcement inspections and rectify identified defects before concrete placement. Coordinate with Civil Supervisors, Concrete Workers, Carpenters, Masons, and other trades. Handle, store, and stack reinforcement safely to prevent damage, contamination, and obstruction. Maintain reinforcement tools and equipment in safe and serviceable condition.

Follow approved drawings, method statements, inspection requirements, and supervisor instructions. Maintain good housekeeping and keep reinforcement work areas clear of scrap and binding-wire waste. Comply with PTW, HSE, PPE, manual-handling, lifting, and Company requirements.
