Assistant Beverage Manager

The Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and compliant operation of the beverage department on the casino floor in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures, as well as all applicable federal, state, and local liquor, health, and safety regulations. This role encompasses comprehensive personnel management, including recruitment, training, scheduling, performance coaching, and employee development, while collaborating with Director on departmental budget planning and financial performance monitoring.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all beverage service operations to ensure strict adherence to company standards, policies, procedures, and all applicable federal, state, and local liquor, health, and safety regulations. Conduct comprehensive reviews of administrative functions performed by beverage supervisors, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with established policies and procedures.
Optimize staffing levels across the beverage department by collaborating with supervisors to implement strategic adjustments aligned with operational business needs. Partner with Director in developing departmental budget goals and objectives, while maintaining rigorous oversight of the Beverage Department's financial performance and cost management.
Direct all personnel-related functions, including recruitment, hiring, scheduling, comprehensive training, performance evaluation, coaching, career development, promotion consideration, and separation management. Establish and enforce consistent service standards across all beverage operations, ensuring continuous adherence and quality excellence.
Serve as the primary departmental representative in labor relations matters, unemployment proceedings, and other internal and external employee-related proceedings as required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Two (2) years of prior experience in a supervisory (or higher) role in food and beverage operations preferrd.
Must have thorough knowledge of service standards, beverage products, preparations, and presentation. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred. Extended periods of standing and walking, circulating through the operations required. Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
