Job description

Responsibilities

Are you looking for an opportunity to influence and make a difference in the delivery of mission capabilities? What if you could find a position that builds upon your expertise in mission data modeling, capability integration and analytics, and communication skills? That's why we need you, an experienced professional, to support the Chief Architecture engineering group in our customer organization in evaluating and guiding future system architectures that enable activity-based intelligence through automated and accelerated mission delivery to our multi-agency Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD customers using the latest open-source tools, trends, and data modeling techniques.

Our Chief Architecture engineering team is responsible for leading and coordinating ground enterprise lifecycle systems engineering activities including requirements, CONOPS, and architecture development in the remote sensing domain for current and future systems. Arcfield is seeking a Ground Architecture Systems Engineer to support defining, analyzing, and evolving complex mission and enterprise architectures.

The successful candidate will bring demonstrated systems engineering expertise across the full development life cycle, with hands-on experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE), AI-enabled system integration, and modeling and simulation.

Develop and maintain MBSE products using Cameo Systems Modeler or Cameo Enterprise Architecture, SysML, and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) methodologies.

Create and analyze operational, functional, logical, physical, interface, and mission architecture views in support of Chief Architect Office priorities. Develop, decompose, allocate, trace, and validate mission, stakeholder, system, and interface requirements. Conduct architecture trade studies, mission-thread analysis, technical risk assessments, and system-of-systems integration assessments.

Evaluate and support integration of AI/ML-enabled capabilities into mission and enterprise systems, including data dependencies, interface requirements, performance measures, validation approaches, and operational risks. Perform modeling, simulation, and quantitative analysis using MATLAB, STK, AFSIM, and/or comparable tools to assess system performance, mission effectiveness, and architecture alternatives.

Support integration, test, verification, validation, technical baseline management, and configuration-control activities.
