Fractional CFO

Working approximately 5 to 10 hours per week, this fractional executive role provides strategic financial oversight and high-level leadership during an upcoming organizational transition. The position commands both the balance sheet and the boardroom, acting as a key driver of strategy, growth, and organizational culture.

Partnering closely with the executive team, this role takes full ownership of financial control while collaborating alongside the Chief Operating Officer (COO), who oversees operational management. It requires an individual capable of pairing technical rigor with an inspiring boardroom presence.

Key Responsibilities

Drive overall financial strategy, establish and maintain robust financial controls, and serve as a strategic advisor to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Corporate Governance: Maintain institutional knowledge and ensure seamless strategic continuity across all financial operations. Executive Collaboration: Partner with the COO and executive team during leadership transitions to align financial management with operational goals.

Essential Requirements 5+ years of proven experience as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or in a senior financial leadership role. Rigorous technical financial credentials as a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)). Personable, collaborative leadership style aligned with driving organizational growth and innovation. Desirable Requirements Experience managing executive leadership transitions.
