We believe in transforming Richmond, one student at a time. What You’ll Do As a Substitute Bus Operator, you’ll safely transport students on an as-needed basis while serving as a positive ambassador for our school community.

Responsibilities include

Safely transport students on assigned routes when called in Drive students to and from work study placements as needed Transport students to athletic events, field trips, and school activities as needed Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful environment on the bus Follow all state and federal transportation regulations Communicate professionally with students, parents, faculty, and staff Report vehicle concerns promptly Complete required documentation and route records Support the mission and values of Cristo Rey Richmond High School What We’re Looking For Successful candidates are: Safety-focused professionals Reliable and responsive when called in Patient and respectful Excellent communicators Team oriented Passionate about serving students Requirements Qualifications Required: Valid Virginia Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Passenger (P) and Air brake endorsements Clean driving record Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, criminal background check, and TB screening Preferred: CPR/First Aid certification Experience working with adolescents Knowledge of the Richmond metropolitan area Why Drivers Enjoy Working Here At Cristo Rey Richmond, you’ll work alongside educators who believe every student deserves an excellent education and the opportunity to achieve their dreams.
