Barista/Counter

• Snow City Cafe Duties are to greet guests and take orders, make and serve beverages, accept payments, and keep the espresso machine area clean and organized. Baristas provide exemplary customer service at all times. They will also be expected to prepare and serve food items as needed. Ability to work in a fast paced and friendly working environment. Operations Works with other staff to ensure their area is clean and organized at all times. Is constantly pre-bussing, picking up trash from the floor, straightening tables and chairs, etc. as needed. Completes all opening & closing side work Is timely in all aspects of service; the greeting, beverage orders, and delivery Knows all point-of-sale functions and can navigate quickly and efficiently on-screen Accurately executes all sales transactions and consistently utilizes restaurant accounting systems Follows all drink recipes accurately and consistently Displays mastery of coffee and espresso knowledge and technique Ensures all beverages are presented properly before delivering to the guests Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of all menu items Assists in the preparation and service of food items Other Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age Must be able to communicate, write, and understand English Must be able to work, standing and walking, in a fast-paced environment for up to 9 hours Must have a current Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card Must possess basic and accurate cash handling skills Available Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Flexible Spending Account (medical and childcare accounts available) Accrued sick leave with pay, converts to PTO after 1 year 401(k) with employer matching up to 4% Dining discounts at our sister restaurants (Snow City Cafe, Spenard Roadhouse, South Restaurant + Coffeehouse, Crush Bistro)
