Event Staff - Guest Services

Overview

Job Skills / Requirements We are currently accepting applications for part-time and casual/on-call Event Staff to join our growing event team in Victoria. Shifts are typically in the evenings and on weekends, and would pair well with a full-time job to offer some supplemental income. Some of the roles we are looking to fill are: Guest Services Access Control Training Wage: $18.

75 per hour Site wage: $18.75-$20.00 per hour WHAT YOU WILL DO Our Event Team at event based facilities conduct regular patrols, provide impeccable customer service, and respond to incidents and emergencies as required. Events are a dynamic and fast paced work environment where things are constantly changing, and there are always interesting challenges to solve.

Crowd Control: Monitor and manage crowd flow to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees. Assist in directing attendees to their designated areas and seats. Ticketing and Access Control: Verify tickets and credentials at entry points. Ensure the smooth entry and exit of attendees. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting attendees with inquiries and offering guidance.

Address and resolve issues promptly and professionally. YOU’RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU: Provide exceptional customer service, with an exceptional smile. Have strong communication skills. Are eligible to work in Canada. Are in need of supplemental income.

NICE TO HAVE

Good problem solving and decision-making skills, including working under pressure. Strong Teamwork skills. Discretion when handling confidential and private information. Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time. Flexible availability including weekends and evening shifts.
