On-line certification for First Aid/CPR/AED is acceptable for application purposes only. Proof of hands-on certification will be required prior to employment. CPR/First Aid Certification (and AED Certification) Other (California Registration of an Occupational Therapy Assistant) Comments and Other Information Contributions to the 3121 Alternative Social Security Plan made by the District and all new part-time employees will take the place of contributions to Social Security (FICA).

Internal Revenue Code Section 3121 provides an alternative to social security as a retirement program for part-time, temporary, and seasonal employees (“3121 Plan”). Employer and employee contributions that would normally be paid to FICA will instead be directed to a qualifying account similar to an IRA (Individualized Retirement Account) or a 403b/457b TSA (Tax Sheltered Annuity) account.
