We have an opening for a PRN or as needed Bus Driver. Lakeview Bus Drivers are responsible for provides safe and timely on-campus and off-campus transportation assistance to Lakeview residents. Assists other staff members for resident/community events as needed. Why join us? Must have at least a Class B or Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsements, or be willing to obtain one; must maintain all legal requirements for keeping a valid CDL. Must have current CPR certification. Customer service experience is preferred. Demonstrates good communications skills, including but not limited to effective reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills, with a fluent understanding of English. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks appropriately, and exercise sound judgement where procedures cannot be standardized. Must demonstrate excellent safety judgement and problem-solving skills. Ability to administer and follow straightforward written or verbal instructions. Ability to interpret bus schedules. Ability to learn the mechanics of a bus. Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly. Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others.
