Head Track & Field Coach (Part-Time Stipend Position, LHSAA Track & Field)

Job Details: Salary Range: Undisclosed, Academy of the Sacred Heart is currently accepting resumes for a Head Track and Field Coach: Part-Time Stipend Position LHSAA Track and Field The Head Track and Field Coach is directly accountable to the Director of Athletics. S(he) works with the Athletic Director, the Associate Athletic Director, Strength and Conditioning Coach, the Division Heads, the Dean of Students, students, and parents to ensure that the spirit and life of the school reflect the Goals and Criteria of a Sacred Heart education.

S(he) understands, embraces, and implements the school's mission and philosophy as written in the Goals and Criteria; participates in the Christ-centered life of the school; and models the school’s philosophy in working with students, parents, colleagues, and administration. S(he) agrees to fulfill the terms of the contract of employment.

Primary Responsibilities: The Head Track and Field Coach will: Work with the Athletic Director to fulfill responsibilities for the Track and Field program. Provide leadership in all phases of a competitive LHSAA high school track and field program. oster positive and professional communication with student-athletes, families, colleagues, and administrators, promoting a culture of respect, transparency, and collaboration within the athletic program.

Oversee the management of the Upper School's varsity and junior varsity track and field programs, including meet scheduling, practice schedules, and team travel. Coordinate track & field digital communications, including newsletters and social media, and provide timely information to the Associate Athletic Director. Provide leadership to coaches and student-athletes, fostering trust and building strong, professional relationships.

Demonstrate personal commitment, passion, and energy in support of Sacred Heart athletics, including attending sporting events and supporting fellow coaches and student-athletes. Manage all track and field administrative duties. Support student-athlete development. Apply knowledge of training principles, prioritize athlete safety and well-being, and collaborate effectively with assistant coaches.

Recognize that this role frequently requires flexibility beyond a standard workweek, including evening and weekend responsibilities and occasional overnight travel.
