Paraprofessional

Paraprofessional -2026/2027 Alexandria Township School District is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Paraprofessional to join our school community. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to support students academically, socially, and behaviorally and help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

Providing instructional and classroom support under the direction of a classroom teacher Working with individual students and small groups Assisting students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs Supporting students through the school day, including during transitions, lunch, recess and other activities as needed Helping maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment Collaborating effectively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; successful completion of the Para.

Pro Assessment preferred Experience working with children Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, flexibility, dependability, and a positive attitude Ability to work effectively as part of a team Must meet all New Jersey requirements for school employment, including criminal history clearance Effective: September 21, 2026
