Standby Driver

Position: Standby Driver Hours: 8 hours per day 5 days per week 10 months' Salary: $25.54 + per hour + Standby Driver Stipend $2.19 per hour Requirements: Ability to obtain CDL Class B driver's license with passenger and school bus endorsements with current school bus physical. (Bloomington Schools will assist) Job Description: Ability to drive any route, anytime, in any bus as directed by Dispatch Able to read maps and or follow driving directions Follow route copies precisely Report on time for all assigned duties Ride with new drivers to teach them the route(s) Deliver outstanding service to: Students Parents School staff Office staff and mechanics Fellow driver's and assistants Be a positive role model and resource to fellow driver's and assistants Show courteous behavior to driving public.

Must exhibit the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Must ensure that all rules, laws, and policies set by Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Bloomington School District are strictly adhered to Must be willing to communicate any performance issues to the Management Staff. (Safety and Compliance Manager) Assist mechanics during inclement weather (moving buses) Pre-trip buses daily as directed by Dispatch Experience: Previous working with children a plus Must have license for at least 1 year Hours: 8 hrs.
