Laboratory Testing Machine Support Engineer

We are seeking a bilingual Laboratory Testing Machine Support Engineer to support customers in Japan with the maintenance, diagnosis, calibration, and repair of Laboratory testing machines supplied by AB Dynamics. The main product supported by this role is the Suspension Parameter Measurement Machine (SPMM). This position is well suited to a hands-on engineer with basic electrical and mechanical knowledge, confidence using mechanical tools, and the ability to communicate effectively with both Japanese customers and UK-based engineering teams.

Perform maintenance and calibration of products at customer sites Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical issues, coordinating with UK and Japan engineers when required Provide clear and professional technical support to Japanese customers Support UK engineers during machine installations Visit customer sites across Japan and overseas when required to provide training and resolve technical issues Support the sales team with product demonstrations and customer questions Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with customers Provide technical information to the commercial team to support quote generation Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering Conversational to Business-level English and native-level Japanese communication skills Experience in using mechanical tools Ability to travel on business for two to three consecutive weeks Ability to perform hands-on work, including lifting and handling tools and equipment safely Experience in service engineering or after-sales service for vehicles or testing machines Experience in chassis or vehicle suspension development Person Specification To meet growing demand from customers in Japan, we are looking for a practical, service-minded engineer who can work independently, collaborate across cultures, and help customers achieve their testing and development goals.
