Childcare Van Driver/ Teacher Assistant

We are seeking a dynamic and responsible individual to join our Childcare Center team as a part-time Childcare Van Driver.

This role requires you to ensure the safe transportation of children to and from the childcare center. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be committed to creating a nurturing environment for children. This is a split shift, part-time role. The hours are from 7:00a-9:00am & 2:30pm - 6:00pm, Monday

You will: Safely operate the childcare center's bus or vehicle to transport children to and from the center, ensuring the well-being of each child during transit. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. Strictly adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including ensuring that children are secured in appropriate child safety seats and seat belts. Be prepared to respond to emergencies during transit, including administering first aid if necessary, and evacuate children safely in case of accidents. Maintain open and clear communication with parents or guardians regarding pick-up and drop-off times, and any changes or delays in the schedule. Maintain accurate records of daily transportation, including attendance, mileage, and fuel usage.

Who You Are

High School Diploma or GED ( Required ) Valid Missouri Class E License and a school bus (S) endorsement ( Required ). Clean driving record with no history of accidents or traffic violations ( Required ). Strong communication and teamwork skills A positive attitude and passion for working with children Ability to pass background and health requirements Ready to Love Where You Work?
