Senior CNC Programmer (Direct Placement for Client) Sigma Design has collaborated with an aerospace manufacturing company seeking an experienced Senior CNC Programmer to join their facility in Canby, OR. This company delivers manufacturing solutions for aerospace structures and is the trusted source for their clients’ projects.
What Is Offered: Medical, Prescription, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, Long and Short-term disability 401k, company will match 50% of your contribution up to 3% of your annual salary Employees accrue 100 hours of PTO time per year, at a rate of 4.17 hours per pay period 7 paid company holidays a year Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, plus OT The hiring range for this role is typically between $70,000 and $110,000 annually, with the full range extending to $150,000 annually, based on experience, internal equity, and career progression Primary Function: The Senior CNC Programmer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting CNC machining programs and processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and successful production of precision components.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsibilities: Develop CNC programs using Mastercam, hyper. Mill, Solid. Works CAM, or similar software. Create and optimize toolpaths, cutting strategies, and machining processes. Review engineering drawings, models, specifications, and GD&T requirements. Support setup, prove-out, and first article activities for new and existing parts. Troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, and machining issues. Work with machinists, engineers, and production leaders to improve quality, cycle times, and efficiency. Document programming methods, setup notes, tooling requirements, and process improvements. Support continuous improvement efforts across machining operations. Follow all safety requirements and contribute to a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
Education and Experience
(Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) 3+ years of CNC programming and machining experience. Experience programming 3, 4, and/or 5-axis CNC machines. Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam, hyper. Mill, Solid. Works CAM, or similar programs. Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, tooling, and setting speeds and feeds.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, models, specifications, and GD&T. Eligible to work in the United States. Experience with verification software such as Vericut preferred. Experience machining aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and/or Inconel preferred. Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.

U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to applicable government contract and/or regulatory requirements Work Environment Standard machine shop environment with various types of machinery. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
