TPM/ Lead Engineer

We are seeking an exceptionally motivated and results-oriented professional to fill a hybrid Technical Program Manager & Lead Engineer role. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader with expertise in Data Engineering (Python, Spark, AWS) who also possesses outstanding Program Management and Client Communication skills.

This role's utmost priority is to lead and run a critical bank client engagement, manage a team of 10 data engineers, and ensure smooth, timely deployments and deliverables. The successful candidate will be expected to rapidly assume responsibility for additional engagements as the team grows. Engagement & Team Leadership

• Lead the effort to build, implement, and support the data infrastructure for the client engagement.
• Manage the team of data engineers, providing technical guidance and mentoring.
• Function as the primary communicator with the client, ensuring transparency and alignment on deliverables.
• Gather requirements and business process knowledge to transform data toward end-user needs. Technical Delivery
• Ensure the data architecture and design are scalable, replay-able, and maintainable.
• Oversee and drive the building, scaling, and maintenance of data pipelines to process billions of records.
• Perform requirement gathering and architect solutions to arrive at the best possible solution architecture.
• Write and tune complex Python/Spark/Py. Spark/Kafka scripts when a hands-on contribution is needed.
• Perform root cause analysis on processes and resolve production issues promptly.
• Ensure high-quality documentation on design content and Unit Testing activities.

Requirements

Program Management & Leadership

• Demonstrated ability to run smooth client engagements and potentially lead multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring a technical team, specifically a team of around 10 Data Engineers.
• Specific expertise in overseeing the deployment lifecycle and ensuring smooth, consistent deployments and deliverables.
• Extremely sharp at client and internal communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in time management, team planning, and project organization. Core Technical Proficiency (Hands-on Requirement)
• Must be a hands-on technical manager willing to dive into code and contribute directly to technical deliverables when required.
• Extensive experience in the design and development of data pipelines using Kafka/Spark/Python.
• Extensive experience in designing solutions and architecture using AWS services.
• Extensive experience in Python/Spark data transformation (using Py. Spark).
• Experience in CI-CD deployments is a strong advantage, given the focus on delivery.
• Experience in constructing logical and physical data modeling for Data Warehouses / Data Lakes.
