Pima Medical Institute is seeking a passionate Nurse Educator to join our Mesa campus team. In this role, you will bring theory to life in the classroom and guide student groups during clinical hospital rotations. Key Responsibilities

Engaging Teaching: Lead interactive classroom discussions in med-surg, nursing fundamentals, pharmacology, and pathophysiology using real-world clinical stories and active learning. Clinical Supervision: Lead small student cohorts on hospital floors during clinical rotations, providing constructive oversight, real-time feedback, and encouragement.

Skills Lab Management: Oversee and assist with skills laboratory instruction, inventory, and student competency assessments. Student Support & Advising: Academic Guidance: Provide regular academic counseling, track student progress, and deliver targeted tutoring to support student retention and NCLEX success. Applicant Engagement: Interview and counsel applicants, assisting the Program Director with admissions, progression, and graduation standards.

Program Governance & Accreditation: Curriculum Alignment: Help evaluate and develop learning objectives, lesson plans, and course outlines in accordance with State Board regulations. Compliance & Accreditation: Maintain accurate student records and participate in campus faculty meetings, Program Evaluation Plans (PEP), and accreditation activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution recognized by the USDE or CHEA. Licensure: Current, unencumbered Arizona RN license (or active Compact/Multi-State privilege to practice in Arizona) in good standing. Clinical Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of occupational experience as a Registered Nurse providing direct patient care.

Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and basic computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications

One (1) year of full-time teaching experience or experience administering a nursing education program leading to licensure (Paid faculty onboarding and training provided!).
