About the Role

The Reefer Dispatcher plays a critical role in managing and coordinating refrigerated freight shipments across the United States, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of temperature-sensitive goods. This position requires overseeing the scheduling and routing of refrigerated trucks, maintaining communication with drivers, and monitoring shipment progress to prevent delays or spoilage.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in freight dispatching, preferably with refrigerated or temperature-controlled shipments. Strong knowledge of transportation logistics and regulatory requirements related to refrigerated freight. Proficiency in using dispatch and tracking software. Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with national or regional refrigerated freight carriers. Familiarity with DOT regulations and food safety standards such as HACCP. Ability to analyze routing data to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Customer service experience in a logistics or transportation environment. Certification in transportation or logistics management.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule refrigerated freight shipments to meet delivery deadlines and client requirements.
