Job Title: Program Manager
- Cybersecurity Designation: Asst Manager
- Cyber Security Location: Dallas, Texas, US Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Program Manager with a strong background in software development to lead our Cybersecurity initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing cybersecurity projects, ensuring that they align with our enterprise security goals. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive project success.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage cybersecurity programs from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones. Coordinate with software development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with cybersecurity projects, implementing effective risk management strategies. Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure project requirements are understood and met. Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for future projects. Stay current with industry trends and emerging threats in cybersecurity to inform project direction and strategy. Mandatory Skills: Proven project management skills with a strong focus on cybersecurity initiatives.
Solid understanding of software development processes and methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). Experience with risk assessment and management tools. Knowledge of cloud security principles and practices. Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
