Finance and Accounting Assistant

Pay Range

$18.05 - $24.75 (Hourly)

• Function: The Finance and Accounting Assistant provides support to the overall function of the Finance and Accounting Department. Performs a wide range of tasks to help ensure the day-to-day operations of the Department are carried out with established accounting principles, policies, and objectives. This position is expected to last approximately 6 to 9 months. While the assignment is temporary in nature, there may be an opportunity for extended employment based on business needs and the successful candidate’s performance. Accountabilities:
• With assistance from and under the supervision of the Department leadership, the Finance and Accounting Assistant:
• Works with team members to review and analyze general ledger reconciliations and transactions
• Assists the finance team with interest rate, hedging and liquidity reporting.
• Maintains reports that support the finance team's analysis and management of deposit balances.
• Reviews vendor invoices ensuring compliance with proper authorizations and general ledger accounting.
• Assists in the preparation and distribution of various periodic and ad hoc reports as needed.
• Assists with the month end close process and general ledger accounting.
• Interacts harmoniously and effectively with others, focusing upon the attainment of bank goals and objectives through a commitment to teamwork.
• Performs other duties as needed to support the team and the Bank. Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required, college, business or banking professional training helpful.
• Solid computer skills with ability to quickly learn multiple software applications. Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements:
• Ability to work in a general office environment and to work remotely as necessary.
• Moderate lifting (to 35 lbs.) required.
• Moderate reaching, walking, sitting and standing required. Equipment Used:
