Assistant Department Manager

Location: 500 S. Meadow Street Ithaca, NY 14850 Availability Requirement for this role: Morning, afternoon, evening (includes weekends). Job Description: Note : Applicants should be flexible and available to work in at least three of the following locations: Corning, Elmira, Hornell, Johnson City, and/or Ithaca. As a trainee, you'll participate in a 1–2 year accelerated leadership program, gaining hands-on experience with products, customers, and team members while learning Wegmans values, operations, and business practices.

What You'll Do

Complete a 1-2 year leadership training program through hands-on experience, seminars, and regular coaching sessions Work directly with products, customers, and team members to learn all aspects of department leadership Develop skills in people leadership, team building, merchandising, sales growth, and profitability Partner with Department Managers, trainers, and coaches to receive feedback and support your professional growth Requirements 1 or more years of supervisory experience
