Position Overview

The Assistant Guide plays a vital role in supporting the Lead Guide and maintaining a prepared environment that allows children to thrive. This is a hands-on position requiring patience, observation, and a genuine respect for children.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Lead Guide in maintaining a calm, orderly, and engaging Montessori classroom Assist children with daily routines while encouraging independence Observe children and follow the guidance of the Lead Guide regarding classroom flow and individual needs Help prepare and care for Montessori materials and the classroom environment Model grace, courtesy, and respectful communication with children Assist with transitions, outdoor time, meals, and hygiene routines Maintain health, safety, and licensing standards at all times Communicate professionally with staff and families Qualifications Experience working with young children (Montessori experience preferred, not required) A genuine interest in Montessori philosophy and child-led learning Calm, patient, and nurturing demeanor Strong sense of responsibility and reliability Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Willingness to learn and grow within Montessori practices Must meet state licensing requirements (background check, CPR/First Aid, etc.)

Pay range
