Kerber. Rose is seeking a Tax Manager to join our team. In this tax-focused role, you’ll thrive in the fast-paced, intellectually rewarding environment of tax season while also benefiting from flexibility and meaningful personal and professional growth opportunities during the off-season. You'll work with a diverse range of industries and niche areas, apply your accounting expertise, and share your advanced knowledge to support the growth and development of fellow team members.

Responsibilities

Maintain strong client relationships and demonstrate an understanding of clients’ businesses and tax needs. Review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, and exempt organizations. Prepare tax research memoranda, written correspondence, and technical guidance related to federal, state, and local tax matters.

Assist with responses to notices and requests from taxing authorities, as needed. Train, mentor, and support staff development through review, coaching, and knowledge sharing. Participate in business development activities, including identifying opportunities, supporting proposals, and strengthening existing client relationships.

Manage multiple client engagements and budgets while meeting firm and client deadlines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting CPA certification 9+ years of recent public accounting experience 2+ years in a supervisory or people leadership role Strong technical tax knowledge, communication skills, and attention to detail Culture and Core Values: Kerber.
