Location: Mesa, Arizona (On-Site)** Position Type:** Full-time Schedule: First Shift Compensation Range: $105,000 - $120,000

Position Overview

As our Facilities Reliability Engineer, you will ensure maximum operational uptime, equipment integrity, and strict environmental compliance across our sterile and non-sterile compounding cleanrooms, manufacturing lines, and warehouse operations.

You will lead Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and predictive maintenance (PdM) initiatives to ensure continuous compliance with USP , USP , cGMP, and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities

Cleanroom & Compounding Systems

  • Maintain preventative maintenance and reliability programs for sterile/non-sterile compounding equipment, biosafety cabinets, hoods, and automated filling lines.
  • Monitor cleanroom pressure cascades, temperature, and humidity parameters to guarantee strict compliance with USP , USP , FDA, and State Board standards.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance (QA) on equipment deviations, Out-of-Specification (OOS) investigations, and CAPA execution.

HVAC & Environmental Controls

  • Oversee maintenance and lifecycle management for critical HVAC systems, including AHUs, chillers, boilers, exhaust systems, and HEPA filtration.
  • Optimize Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) for continuous 24/7 environmental monitoring and alert resolution.
  • Drive air quality and energy efficiency optimizations across cleanrooms, warehouse zones, and office spaces.

Manufacturing & Equipment Reliability

  • Track core reliability metrics (MTBF, MTTR, OEE) across packaging and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Design predictive maintenance schedules using vibration analysis, thermal imaging, oil testing, and ultrasound technology.
  • Maintain equipment histories, calibration logs, and spare parts inventory within our CMMS platform.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical training/experience).
  • Experience: 4+ years in reliability, facilities, or maintenance engineering within life sciences, compounding pharmacy, or regulated manufacturing.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Working knowledge of USP , USP , cGMP, FDA cleanroom classifications, and OSHA standards.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with industrial HVAC, cleanroom air systems, BMS/BAS software, and CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo, Fiix, SAP).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
  • Experience with cold chain storage and automated warehouse systems (ASRS, conveyors).

**Work Environment **This position is primarily based in an onsite work environment. The role requires regular periods of sitting, standing, and computer use, with occasional lifting as needed. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Annual Salary

$110,000 — $130,000 USD
