Groundskeeper I

Classification Title: Groundskeeper I Job Description: Participates in grounds maintenance activities including mowing, edging, string trimming, weeding, pruning and mulching with hand and/or power equipment. Installs and removes plant material, i.e. flowers, groundcovers, shrubs, trees, grasses as needed to amend campus landscaping.

Participates in litter and debris collection programs including emptying trash receptacles and replacing plastic liners. Operates State Vehicle Participates in preventative maintenance program on departmental equipment. Performs other related work as assigned NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Position considered as Essential Personnel as defined by UF Policy This position requires a criminal background check and post offer Health Assessment and Hearing Evaluation.

Employee must possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E Driver’s License. Expected Salary: $15.00 Hourly based on experience Minimum Requirements: Completion of the 9th Grade Education.
