Veterinary Receptionist | $20–$23/hour based on experience, plus applicable shift differentials First Coast Veterinary Specialists & Emergency | Jacksonville Beach, FL Full-Time | Three 12-Hour Overnight Shifts | Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday First Coast Veterinary Specialists & Emergency is hiring a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to support our overnight emergency and specialty veterinary teams in Jacksonville Beach, FL.
This role is ideal for someone with previous veterinary hospital experience who enjoys helping clients, coordinating communication, and staying organized in a fast-paced medical environment. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you’ll help guide clients through emergency visits and specialty care while supporting the veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, and other hospital team members who care for their pets.
Veterinary hospital experience is required, and emergency or specialty veterinary experience is strongly preferred.
Compensation

Bloom learning and development platform Client Service Representative (CSR) Certificate Program Opportunities for professional development and career growth within Ethos Veterinary Health Schedule Full-time position Three 12-hour overnight shifts per week Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday 7:00 PM–7:00 AM Some holidays required Responsibilities Welcome clients and their pets with compassion, professionalism, and understanding Answer and manage a multi-line phone system while directing calls to the appropriate team members Schedule appointments and assist with client inquiries Coordinate patient admissions for emergency visits and specialty services Process payments, prepare invoices, and complete client checkouts Maintain accurate medical records, client information, and related documentation Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, and other hospital team members Help clients navigate the check-in and discharge process during stressful or time-sensitive situations Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area Complete additional administrative and client service duties as needed Qualifications Previous veterinary hospital experience is required Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist, Veterinary Client Service Representative, veterinary customer service representative, or veterinary front desk team member is preferred Emergency or specialty veterinary experience is strongly preferred Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to communicate with empathy and professionalism when clients are experiencing stressful situations Comfortable working in an emergency veterinary environment with sick or injured animals Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain organized in a fast-paced hospital Strong attention to detail and accuracy with client information, medical records, and payments Proficiency with computers, phone systems, and administrative tasks Ability to work scheduled overnight shifts, including some holidays Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.
